Classic Fine Foods Hong Kong & Macau host the 2023 MICHELIN Guide Ceremony

Hong Kong & Macau have long been recognized worldwide as the culinary capitals of Asia with their cuisine a perfect combination of Eastern and Western cultures, making the two neighboring cities major gastronomic destinations.

With more than a century of history as the world’s leading restaurant guide and one of the most recognizable international brands, for the first time in three years the MICHELIN Guide held its annual Gala Ceremony on 26th April 2023 at the Grand Lisboa Palace in Macau.

Classic Fine Foods hosted a 60m 2 booth to showcase a selection of 25 of our most premium brands including Sturia, Rougie, Les Freres Marchand, 5DO and La Prudencia. It was hugely exciting for the whole team to be present during the evening and to be in contact with the best Chefs in the region. For the brands, it was a great exposure and came with some surprises – Alain Ducasse honored everyone with his visit and carefully examined each Classic Fine Foods brand. For all involved it was a night to remember, as the best in the culinary world were celebrated. The food was exquisite and the atmosphere was electric!

Classic Fine Foods Vietnam - official 2023 MICHELIN support partner

Our team at Classic Fine Foods Vietnam were proud to act as the official Event Support Partner and Plaque Distributor for the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City 2023, with National Sales Director Vassili De Boel in attendance.

In early June, MICHELIN revealed their list of restaurants for two of Vietnam’s largest cities, which are now included in the world famous Guide. In a prestigious event, at which Classic Fine Foods gladly sponsored ingredients for chef to create an exquisite five-course menu, the inaugural ceremony honoured the chefs and locations, with inclusion in the Guide a globally recognised symbol of quality and reputation.

Classic Fine Foods UK – official 2023 MICHELIN plaques distributor

After being a partner in 2019 and managing the MICHELIN plaques delivery, once again our Classic Fine Foods UK team took to the road, to hand-deliver the well-deserved, iconic red plaques to award winning restaurants throughout the UK.

The team were thrilled to offer the awarded restaurants their official plaque, which illustrates their belonging to the MICHELIN Guide family. Designed to be hung on the façade of the establishment, the decorative plaque highlights the culinary excellence and talent that the restaurant demonstrates on a daily basis.

It is also a unique opportunity for Classic Fine Foods to engage with chefs and their teams and share in the fantastic accomplishment. Classic Fine Foods team members from Sales, Purchasing, Operations and Marketing had the honour of making the deliveries to 186 restaurants throughout April, May and June 2023.
